*As of May 2011, Daniel will be working and climbing in Europe for an indefinite period and unavailable to offer Strength and Conditioning training. Jean can still be contacted via email or phone and both Daniel and Jean will work together to accommodate you if you are interested in Strength and Conditioning training. Thanks for your interest and we look forward to working with you in the future!
Strength and Conditioning programs are based on building usable strength and endurance. This is not a bodybuilding routine. Size means nothing if it can’t be applied; if it can’t be used! These aren’t the typical cookie-cutter babysitting sessions you get at most gyms. These programs are generally high intensity strength-building routines tailored to each and every client’s needs. I will educate you, motivate you and improve you! Here, you will be pushed…hard! We will set goals and then we will surpass them. The idea is to achieve the body’s full potential – to attain a level of peak performance!
Sports Performance programs are designed for athletes of all levels. For some athletes, fitness can be a matter of life or death. Others are trying to turn sport into a career. And, for others, it’s just a matter of becoming the all-star of their adult soccer league. These programs can accommodate any one of these athletes – and everything in between. Sports Performance programs are intended to work off the same principles as the strength and conditioning programs but are applied to a specific sport. This means that I will work with you to design a program which will improve performance for your particular sport.
All programs will focus on training and improving:
- Muscular Strength and Endurance
- Explosive Power
- Cardiorespiratory Endurance
- Flexibility
- Speed, Agility and Quickness
- Body Composition
The types of tools utilized in these programs, in order to push the body to the next level, include:
- Kettlebells
- Kegs (yes, the ones found at a college house party, go figure!)
- Olympic Weights
- Plyometric Boxes
- Sandbags
- Bungee Cords
- Medicine Balls
- Agility Ladders and Cones
All these programs are designed to be conducted outdoors!!. At a field, park, back yard, etc… Being in sunny Southern California allows us to be outside almost 365 days a year and there is no better place to workout than under the sunny blue skies of San Diego!
And I will come to you!!! All the equipment is portable and, for no additional charge, I will meet you at a place which can accommodate a full session. This can be a public field, a public park, or even your back yard! If you prefer, you can meet me at a place of my choosing as well.
Cost, Size and Length of Sessions:
A single session is generally 1-1.5 hours long.
The initial consultation, where we will discuss your goals and agree on a training program, is free of charge. Training sessions are paid for following this consultation.
Training sessions are purchased in packages. These include:
- 6 sessions for $325
- 12 sessions for $600
- 24 sessions for $1,100
- 36 sessions for $1,600
- 48 sessions for $2,100
*Other packages may be negotiable
*Each additional person is $15/session (read below for more on group training).
Each session is generally one-on-one, however, I can work with groups of up to 4. These can be friends and training partners or I can try to hook you up with another client who is interested in doing group sessions. There are positives and negatives to structuring a program this way and these can be discussed in more detail. If you are interested, please contact me.
